  • Initially, following an excellent internet review by a regular client of many years standing, he booked apartment IND/IVS/10 over 4 years ago, through our Almeria Holidays division, for a 2 week visit to Mojácar, with the intention of buying.  
  • After our Realtors Almeria division, using his detailed specification of preferences, scoured the local property market for him, via our many collaborating partners and arranged multiple viewings and offerings, he settled on one apartment right next to the one he had rented.

LONG TERM RESIDENTIAL RENTALS – Realtors Almeria 

Residential long term lets in Spain are subject to different and more stringent regulations and restrictions regarding tenancy, compared to other countries, such as the UK, being subject to national laws such as the Ley de Arrendamientos Urbanos (Urban Rental Law).  We will arrange, from time to time, long term rentals on behalf of owners who don’t use their property often and would rather have it rented all year and year on year, than have it sitting empty and who don’t want to, or are unable to do holiday rentals, for personal, legal or economical reasons. 

In these cases we are selective as to which properties, owners and tenants are suitable to be in contract as the consequences for owners or tenants of uninformed or incorrect understanding of the laws and the implications.  We have had many years of experience and success in this market however the importance of understanding the law and Andalucia’s own regulations regarding the law, cannot be overstated. Property should at the very least speak to their solicitors before agreeing any rental contract, even for several months and tenants should be careful also as to what they agree to regarding their liabilities.
